Business Design Centre, Islington, London
20th-23rd March, 2025
After a few years of running talks and workshops at The Stitch Festival, I’m taking the plunge and having a stand there in March - eek!!! If you're also a fan of all things fabric and thread, then you need to come too! It is epic!
Whether you're a seasoned sewist, a queen of quilting, or someone who's just starting their sewing journey, this event has something for you. The opportunity to stroke fabric gets me excited alone!

AMAZING EXHIBITORS
At The Stitch Festival, you get to mooch around over 150 different stands - all selling fabrics, haberdashery, kits and sewing supplies. There are always some non-sewing related stands too! If you’re on the lookout for inspiration, a new sewing machine, advice or supplies, then it’s certainly the place to be.
This year, you can find me (Oodles of Craft) on stand J19. It’s up on the mezzanine level near the workshop area, so please do come and say hi. I’m at the end of a row, so it’s not ideal but I’m excited nonetheless! I’ll be bringing my sewing kits and allowing you to pick and mix the fabric to put inside them. At the Knitting and Stitching Show last October, my very first stand looked like this. I’ll be changing things up this time round, but the hexagons will be back!!!
EXPERT-LED WORKSHOPS AND DEMONSTRATIONS
One of my favourite things about The Stitch Festival is the wide range of workshops and demonstrations available. The tutors that I have met over the years are so knowledgeable in their field and are so inspirational. Whether you're looking to refine your sewing skills, try something new, or dive deeper into a specific technique, there’s a class for you.
This year, I’ll be running a sunglasses case workshop and I cannot wait! With pre-cut fabric in your pack, we can focus on sewing and inserting our flex frame. You will also go home with the instructions and the link to a video of how to create more glasses cases in future. This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners, but you’re very welcome if you’re a confident sewist too!
You can find further details about the workshops and book onto them here: https://www.thestitchfestival.co.uk/workshops/
INSPIRATIONAL TALKS ON STAGE
I always look forward to hearing from the experts on stage. Each year, there’s such a varied timetable throughout each day that you’re sure to find something that interests you. It’s also a great chance to ask questions, share your own experiences, and discover ways to elevate your craft to the next level.
Last year, I ran demonstrations on how to use a Cricut machine to create embroidery and applique designs. I loved sharing how easy it is!
COMMUNITY LOVE
At the end of the show in 2024, I came away absolutely buzzing! I had run some workshops, demonstrated Cricut machines on stage and then worked on the Sheepers stand for the remaining time. I had a blast talking to so many fascinating crafters. I loved seeing people proudly wearing things that they had made, with brightly coloured hair or accessories and a huge smile on their faces. For an introvert like me, it was nothing short of inspirational!
Whether you are coming on your own, wanting to meet up with friends or even mingle with internet friends, you will leave happy.

DISCOUNTED TICKETS
If you are coming, then please swing by stand J19. It’s so daunting having a stand when you’re not a big brand. Having somebody smile and say they love the vibe on your stand really means the world.
